Professional Audio Installation:

This is for sites that already have a functioning satellite-based system with a working amplifier and speaker system. We will tie in the satellite radio receiver to this existing sound and amplification structure. There will be a preexisting coaxial cable running from the receiver location to the roof.

Scope of Work (outside facility)

• Remove cable from existing satellite dish.
• Cut the existing cable and affix a new F-connector.
• Install the SMB to F-connector adapter kit and in-line amplifier.
• Weatherproof the connections by wrapping with electrical tape.
• Mount the XM satellite antenna to an existing structure on the roof.
• Secure all wires to structure.

Scope of Work (in the facility)

• Disconnect the coax wire from the satellite based receiver.
• Install SMB to F-connector adapter kit.
• Place and install radio.
• Plug in power, and antenna lead to receiver.
• Connect receiver to existing amplifier.
• Test for signal and provide basic training to customer.

This is based on the customer site will already having a properly functioning amplifier and speaker system. We will tie in the XM Radio to this existing sound and amplification structure. We will tie in the satellite radio system to this existing sound and amplification structure. The antenna will also be mounted in a external location with a view of the southern sky for XM Radio and pointed towards Minnesota for Sirius.

• Run coax cable down weather head or through wall to provide to provide proper antenna exposure. The coax should be run from the external location to the location of the receiver inside the facility. The run will be 125 feet or less and include one wall drilling if required.
• Affix an F-connector to coax cable.
• Install the SMB to F-connector adapter kit and in-line amplifier.
• Weatherproof the connections by wrapping with electrical tape.
• Mount the XM satellite antenna to an existing structure on the roof (weather head, AC unit, existing antenna tower, etc.)
• Secure all wires to structure.

• Affix an F-connector to the receiver end of the coax cable.
• Install SMB to F-connector adapter kit.
• Place and install radio.
• Plug in power, and antenna lead to satellite radio receiver.
• Connect receiver to existing amplifier.
• Test for signal and provide basic training to customer.

This installation type is based on a site having no existing sound infrastructure. The installation of overhead speakers and satellite radio antenna extension is required. The facility is of standard construction with drop ceilings. The ceiling height is of 12-feet or less. All cabling is included in the price of this installation.

• Install ceiling speakers in facility.
• Install amplifier.
• Connect satellite radio receiver to amplifier.
• Test for sound from all speakers.
• Provide basic training to customer on XM Radio and Amplifier.

The time required may vary based on number of speakers required.

How big is the satellite radio antenna?
The antenna is about the size of your hand and can easily be installed in discreet place as long as it has a view of the southern sky for XM Radio and towards Minnesota for Sirius Radio.

How long will it take to get my equipment?
All equipment is mailed directly to each location of installation and usually takes 3-5 business days from the date of order to arrive.

Do I need approval from my landlord to install the antenna?
Even though the antenna is small we recommend that you get approval from your landlord before scheduling your installation. We can provide any necessary documentation to your landlord to assist any approval processes.

Can I install the system myself?
Yes. Installing your satellite radio system can be done by anyone with a basic knowledge of cabling and the necessary tools to mount the antenna and the knowledge of connection cables to an audio system. If you are purchasing an audio system we highly recommend purchasing professional installation.
